Overall camp was pretty normal today. In the beginning of the day, Benevieve (Ben + Genevieve, former campers who are making a film about camp) sadly left us, but that just means we’re even closer to their camp documentary video being done. There were a couple memorable workshops, the ones i remember best are “Traveling Safely and Cheaply” and “Bigger, Faster, Stronger – How?” The first one was pretty self explanatory, but it was pretty cool and informative. The second was ways to getting stronger, and we got to carry around rocks and go for a run. Some more fun stuff happened during Siesta, there was a three person wedding. Then all the normal stuff happened (another set of workshops, a staff panel, dinner, and evening meeting) until it was about an hour before prom, everyone was listening to music and making a big balloon arch, then everyone was in the lodge doing each others makeup and talking. Everyone’s outfits were so amazing, then prom started! People were just dancing their hearts out while the presidential debate was going on in the next room – only at NBTSC. Anyway it went by way to fast, and there was a camper that just dressed up in an all black morph suit and called themself the “Applebees Monster” or something along those lines, it was terrifying. Then prom was over, and everyone fell asleep pretty fast, in big groups in either Frida’s or on the deck. Overall, it was a really nice day 🙂
