September 2, 2018 (Day 12, Oregon Session 2 at Camp Myrtlewood)
The evening event for Day 12 was left wide open for spontaneity at this session. We ended up having two separate and concurrent events–a Night Hike to Vista Point and a Karaoke Night back at camp. Here, camper Sabi shares about her experience on the Night Hike.
We hiked to Vista Point! It took us about an hour and a half. When we got up there it was beautiful. It was the most magical place I’ve ever been. We could see Mars as a bright red and orangey colour and I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before. It was a little hard hiking up–you have to work for it! You have to really want to hike to Vista Point to be able to get there, and going down the other way is even longer.
