Hello! This is Scarlett (they/them) and this is my first year at NBTSC!
I woke up from a deep slumber in a “bird pile” in Frida’s. Bird pile meaning we all sleep on top of each other because Vermont nights are cold. Frida’s (if you’ve yet to read other blog posts) is a communal sleeping area at camp where you can bring your mattress to. Frida’s brings the best sleep 💪💪.
First workshop slot I went to Elijah’s and Koi’s where everyone did clown makeup on each other! Julian who hadn’t done makeup before ate it up 100%.
Jane and Andrias’s wedding was truly beautiful. I was one of Jane’s brides maids and Syrus Elliot officiated their wedding.
Me and Stella were interviewed by Ben and Genevieve! We answered questions about why we love NBTSC as well as a friendship interview! Earlier in the week me, Zoe, Stella and Benevieve came to the agreement that we’ll all be moving to a one story flat in Pittsburg and adding wood for floors making it so you must crawl, looking forward to that!
There was a beautiful workshop run by Lily, Caitlyn and Julian about Five Nights at Freddy’s where they lied about the FNAF lor- I mean gave great insight into all of the ins and outs of the bite of ‘82, ‘83 and ‘87. Also I drew Caitlyn B)
There was campfire tonight where everyone who wanted to went around and shared songs, poems, stories and jokes. Me and Stella re wrote Riptide into a parody song affectionately dubbed “Camptide”. I performed one of my poems for the first time! Everyone was so supportive and sweet 🙂 Loved the performance of wonder wall by Marley it was… certainly a time of my life. Shout out to the people on the overhead projector with shadow puppets following along to peoples performances!
Dance party in the kitchen!! Everyone ate it up✨ Xane ran an Impromptu Chappell Roan workshop in the Lodge so Harry could learn the ways of Chappell Roan🫡
