Hello I’m Lily, this is my second year at Vermont. I woke up in the field in a pile of people snuggled in there blankets hiding from the cold, Day 3 is skirt day!! Me and Eliza went to get are extera skirts for people, then i ate some delicious breakfast (ty kitchen staff!!!) and we had morning meeting, we sung “This Little Light of Mine” and Will coughed up are hug number (it was 2). Advisee was good as always. I went to Christian’s Rucking workshop (we carried cans in backpacks and walked to the farm). I was in so much pain but I have no regrets.
I took a cold shower and laid in my cabin to take some space and draw. I’ve been thinking about a lot today, it was nice having some time alone. I heard some friends laughing at the showers and went down to hang out. We sat in the loft for a few hours just talking and being silly. I wasn’t in a great mood before that but it reminded me how much I love people here.
Carmen gave me mac & cheese and me and Syd ate it. I caught the end of the staff panel, and then had dinner. Tonight is bonding night. I felt nervous before it, I cried a little, smiled a lot, overall it was nice 🙂 After a bunch of us sat on the floor and talked.
It’s 12:10AM right now. I’m sitting and listening to everyone laughing and talking while I write. I’m geting sleepy and all I have left to say is I love it here.
