Projects, Oregon Session 2

Campers cluster in groups for five mornings (9 hours total) to undertake nifty projects—and then at the end we have show-and-tell. Some projects are dedicated to “committed” participants only—people who agree to be present for the duration of all sessions; others are set up to accommodate both drop-in and full participants. (Everyone, however, is expected to  attend at least the first 15 minutes of their project session daily.) We post descriptions of each project on our project page in May, and when you complete your online (or phone/mail) information you’ll be asked to list your first, second, and third-choice projects. If you don’t specify a project, we’ll assign one to you. We do recommend advance reservations, since projects are first-come first-served. (At camp, before projects begin, leaders explain their projects in person, and at that point if you’ve changed your mind about which project you want, you can switch if there is still room available.)

We offer 5-day projects and also shorter 3- and 2-day projects; all campers sign up for 5 days' worth. (If for some reason you don't want to sign up for all 5 days, please email Grace to discuss your thoughts.) Half and full worktraders, alas, can't sign up for committed projects, and need to be prepared to miss project blocks.

One final note -- this year we may be working out some database glitches regarding projects. Please read project descriptions carefully so that you can choose either one 5-day project or else one 2-day and one 3-day project as your first choices (or your first and second choices, if that's all you're allowed to do on the database). We'll do our best to interpret your choices accurately. Email Sarabeth if you're confused.
